Participants are immersed in settings that illustrate the health of people, animals and the environment are inextricably linked.
Global Wildlife Resources has just launched their first online course: “How to Do TPRs – Patient Monitoring for Zoo and Wildlife Professionals.” This online course covers patient monitoring during captive and free-ranging wildlife chemical capture & immobilization.
Course materials cover basic avian anatomy and physiology and provide you with current best practices for the first phase of raptor rehabilitation—patient stabilization. You will also receive instruction on safe handling methods, how to conduct a physical exam, the art of triage, and basic emergency care.
This interdisciplinary course will cover diverse subjects such as basic epidemiology, public health, public policy, basic microbiology, food safety, and security, zoonotic diseases, sanitation and hygiene, antimicrobial resistance, environmental and ecosystem health, and the national and international organizations that oversee health, agriculture, and the environment.
