Through this program, you will gain experience and hands-on training in the field of wildlife rehabilitation. The Intern is also introduced to basic medical skills including bandaging, laboratory analysis, fluid therapy and other subjects pertinent to wildlife rehabilitation.
This collaborative approach to veterinary student training in the Rocky Mountain region is designed to provide students with broad exposure to the numerous wildlife veterinary professionals present in the region. Student projects will be designed with host agencies to provide a real-world experience for the student and contribute to agency missions.

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a state-of-the-art facility providing medical care to sick and injured sea turtles and many other species of native coastal wildlife.
While working in the Florida Mammals area, the majority of time will be spent at the Manatee Critical Care Center learning all aspects of rehabilitation, behavioral observations, record keeping and husbandry of injured manatees.
The internship at Zoo Miami is designed for college students or recent graduates interested in multi-species animal health.
