Under the direction of the Wildlife Division Deputy Director, the Wildlife Division Veterinarian is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the Division Wildlife Health Program including: operations (field and clinical), policy development and implementation, wildlife health related research and training, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification compliance, humane animal care, and other veterinarian duties as required. Coordinates extensively with other Wildlife Health Program staff. Collaborates with other staff to develop, plan, direct, coordinate, prioritize and implement statewide wildlife health program including investigations, assessments, surveillance, monitoring, treatment, control and management.
