“EcoHealth Alliance is seeking a research scientist to work as part of our modeling team, assisting on quantitative and spatial analyses related to zoonotic disease ecology, biodiversity and health, and conservation biology.
This New York-based position is ideal for a recent MSc or MPH graduate with a passion for examining the links between biodiversity and health (especially emerging zoonoses), and with strong writing and analytical skills. Responsibilities include spatial analysis of the interactions between biodiversity, zoonotic and other pathogen dynamics, and anthropogenic changes such as land use change and biodiversity loss; assisting with the collection, cleaning, and analyses of data; drafting manuscripts, grants, and reports; preparing presentations, info-graphics, posters, and other documents; managing collaboration among scientists at EcoHealth Alliance and globally; and providing administrative support.
This position is based in New York City with the possibility of some domestic or international travel, but due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, this position may initially be remote. Required travel to office or elsewhere would be evaluated based upon business need and staff safety.”
