Course offered by The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine
“In this six-week, online course, you will consider the scientific value of rehabilitation as well as the ethical considerations involved in caring for sick and injured wild birds. Course materials cover basic avian anatomy and physiology and provide you with current best practices for the first phase of raptor rehabilitation—patient stabilization. You will also receive instruction on safe handling methods, how to conduct a physical exam, the art of triage, and basic emergency care. The focus of the course is on raptors at post-fledging age through adulthood.”
