Raptors are generally presented for injury or illness and difficult decisions regarding euthanasia, release or placement need to be made. Ethics are the moral principles that guide our everyday behavior. Animal welfare refers to an animal’s state of well-being. This webinar provides an overview of animal ethics and welfare and using ethical frameworks and welfare assessments to help guide decision making. There will also be an opportunity to discuss current conundrums involving raptor and wildlife rehabilitation.
