The Department of Infectious Disease and Global Health in Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University invites applications for a full-time assistant clinical professor faculty position. This position will provide clinical support in Tufts Wildlife Clinic, teach students in the DVM and graduate programs, engage in research and scholarly activity, and provide service to the school, the university, and the community.
This position requires working closely with the wildlife clinic director to provide medical and surgical care of wildlife patients and assisting with clinic operations. After-hours and weekend phone support of house officers is expected. Teaching of students in the pre-clinical teaching program and in clinical rotations and supervising and mentoring house officers is required. Clinical track faculty members are expected to participate in independent or collaborative research and scholarly activity sufficient to remain current in wildlife medicine. The position responsibilities will be distributed as 30 weeks of clinical activity, including supervision of clinical rotations; ~5 weeks for pre-clinical DVM and graduate teaching; ~5 – 10 weeks for research and scholarly activity; and ~5 weeks service.
