Is Chronic Wasting Disease Inevitable? Webinar with Dr. Krysten Schuler, Cornell Wildlife Health Lab

Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) has been detected in the majority of states and provinces across North America. Many wildlife biologists wonder if it will be everywhere eventually. What will that mean for the future of wildlife management? What can we do to stop or slow the progression? Diving into the biological, social, and political facets of CWD, perhaps there are areas where progress can be made if we are willing to forge into new territory.

Dr. Krysten Schuler is a wildlife disease ecologist and director of the Cornell Wildlife Health Lab. She is the past chair of The Wildlife Society’s Wildlife Disease Working Group and a member of the Wildlife Disease Association. She focuses on health issues affecting populations of native wildlife.
