Grad Student/Postdoc Opportunities in Wildlife Disease Ecology & Evolution

The Becker Lab at the University of Oklahoma is actively recruiting graduate students to join and expand research projects on the ecology and evolution of infectious disease.

MS and PhD students are accepted through the Department of Biology’s Ecology and Evolutionary Biology graduate program. Work in the lab focuses on bats and birds, but students should be driven by questions and an interest in integrating various approaches to infectious disease (e.g., field, computational, molecular). Proposed graduate studies focused on other study systems, or that center around data syntheses and theoretical approaches, are also entirely welcome. Graduate students will have the opportunity to develop skills in pathogen discovery, wildlife immunology, epidemiological modeling, meta-analysis, machine learning, and phylogenetic comparative methods.
