Assistant Professor, Veterinary Immunopathologist with Wildlife Focus- St. George’s University

Assistant Professor in Immunopathology with Wildlife focus, non-tenure track, Department of Pathobiology, School of Veterinary Medicine, St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Provide instruction for a veterinary immunology course and exotic and wildlife courses to veterinary and graduate students.
  • Advise and mentor DVM, MSc and PhD students, and actively engage in independent and collaborative research.  Research areas of emphasis at SGUSVM include: wildlife diseases, vector-borne disease, Zoonotic disease and public health, aquatic animal health, Parasitology, and clinical sciences. 
  • Experience and interest in Immunopathology/infectious disease of wildlife is highly desired.
  • Work closely with other faculty in providing diagnostic support of the diagnostic laboratories (i.e. microbiology, or histopathology and Necropsy, or clinical pathology) which provides service to the Grenada SPCA, SGU Small Animal Clinic, Junior Surgery Laboratory, SGU Large Animal Resource Facility, and local veterinary practitioners. 
  • Dedication to outstanding service and client communication is highly desired.
